The 2025 Budget hearing held at the Eleanor Akuffo Addo Community Centre in Mampong. The hearing was a significant event that brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Finance and the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council. The discussions were centered on the upcoming 2025 budget, with a focus on ensuring alignment with national priorities and local development needs.
In attendance were four Municipal, Metropolitan, and District Assemblies (MMDAs), specifically:
• Mampong Municipal Assembly,
• Ejura-Sekyere Odumase Municipal Assembly,
• Sekyere Central District Assembly, and
• Sekyere South District Assembly.
The event was well represented by the Chief Executives and the Budget Analysts of each of the aforementioned assemblies, along with their respective teams and entourages, contributing to a productive discussion. Additionally, various traditional leaders and representatives from local communities were present, underscoring the importance of integrating local customs and perspectives into the budgeting process.
The hearing provided a platform for dialogue between local government authorities and central government representatives, aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by the communities in the Ashanti Region and ensuring that the 2025 budget reflects the needs of all stakeholders involved.
