Special Voting in the 2024 Elections in the Mampong Constituency in the Ashanti Region which was held on Monday 2nd December, 2024 ended peacefully. The Special Voting which took place at the IJ Infant JHR Prim St. Monica’s polling station started at exactly 7:00 a.m. In all 372 voters was expected to cast their votes.

At the end of the voting which ended at 5:00 pm, 306 voters had successfully casted their ballots. Out of this number 219 were males whiles 37 were females. The Presidential election recorded 306 votes while 299 voters voted in the Parliamentary election, which indicate that 66 voters failed to turn up to vote at all in the Special Voting with 7 out of the total number of voters who exercised their franchise tailing to do so in the Parliamentary election.

The voting and all other voting process was orderly and peaceful and there was no incident of confrontation and arguments among any of the stakeholders as the EC made sure that all the election materials were readily available to facilitate the smooth conduct of the polls.
All the Political Party Agents present at polling station comported themselves so well and cooperated very well with the EC officials and the security personnel to ensure that the rules of the elections were duly adhered to by all parties.
The voters themselves and the security personnel had little to do to ensure law and order.

Counting of votes cast was not done. The EC Officials and the political party agents in the presence of Security Personnel, Election Observers and journalists after recording and documentation of the polls, inserted their seals to seal the ballot boxes that contained that ballot cast as well as a box that contain some election materials like the indelible ink, unused and remaining printed ballot sheets as well as BVD Biometric Verification Device (DVD) among others.

After the completion of all the requisite processes, the security personnel who manned the election, escorted the ballot boxes which were put in EC vehicle and transported for safekeeping awaiting counting on early Saturday morning before the 7th of December general elections start at 7: 00 a.m.
