He added that over the years, officers in the Service had accordingly continued to work tirelessly for all governments to enable governments to prosecute their agenda and indicated that he expected nothing short of that from them during this new NDC administration.
He therefore urged them to support the government by working harder and efficiently to help enhance the progress and development of Mampong municipality.

He used the opportunity to call for unity among the staff to engender teamwork and high productivity.

He also used the occasion to go round and familiarize himself with some departments of the assembly and casually assess their condition of state.
The Regional Minister further stated that the vision of the President, H.E John Dramani Mahama, is hinged primarily on the president’s desire to use his four year mandate, which he described as a “Legacy Term”, to transform the economy, agriculture, health, employment and job, education, water and sanitation among other sectors of the economy to enable all Ghanaians enjoy better lives and leave a good legacy for the country.

He therefore urged them to support the president to achieve his vision by working effectively and efficiently to help enhance the country’s development.
He also urged the Assembly staffs to eschew politics in the work settings and leave the politicians and support the government. “We as politicians know and understand that we can play our usual politics. You as civil servants should not do same especially in discharging your duties but rather continue to work as professionals with political neutrality and commitment to duty mindset”, he admonished.
Sharing his vision for the Mampong Municipality, the Regional Minister pointed out that he would ensure the completion of stalled and ongoing projects left behind by the erstwhile NPP administration in the municipality and the region in general while pursuing and supporting other developmental programmes and projects of the government to address the region’s developmental needs.
He therefore urged them to support him to achieve his vision by working harder and efficiently to contribute to the progress and development of Mampong municipality.
Dr. Amoakohene expressed his unhappiness about poor attitude towards work by the assembly’s staff particularly in terms of reporting not early at work. He, therefore, urged them to be punctual at work and contribute meaningfully to change the face of Mampong.
